02. INTRODUCTION

Risograph printing works a little differently from digital printing. Instead of printing a finished full-colour image in one go, each colour is printed separately using its own ink and stencil.

THE SCAN-BED

Up top is the scan-bed. You can pop artwork straight onto here and the Riso can turn it into a stencil without a computer. We usually send artwork digitally, but it’s a lovely reminder that the machine is essentially a very clever duplicator.
